While working on my remix album "Heartbreak on a Dance Floor -The Remixes-," I had asked Air3s to remix "Back In Time," which was, and still is, one of my favorite songs in my entire discography, to which he agreed. When the remix was complete and I heard it for the first time, I knew when the vocals kicked in that it was going to have to be a standalone single. I was literally on the floor. "Back In Time (Air3s ft. Carlton.)" also served as a promotional single with "Back in Time (Extended)" for my 2015 anniversary re-release of "Before & After."
